First time blogger

 Hello everyone, Thanks for opening our blog.

I am a first time blogger, who is going to try to share my husband, and my travels, starting with a once in a lifetime trip with Viking cruise line. We have never been on an ocean cruise, and of course our first experience will last four and a half months. We are taking a world cruise starting this December 20, 2023.

This is a trip that neither one of us thought would happen. My husband's famous words when we got together was, "don't even ask to go on a cruise, I won't go on water where I can't see land". These were famous last words, because when we were signing up for our retirement river cruises, he saw the world cruise, and he said this checks off so many boxes. As you can see 2 years ago we signed up for this cruise to see the world. We fly out of Walla Walla, Washington to Seattle, and then direct to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Yes, we are leaving before Christmas, and yes, if you know me that will be hard to not have family around for the holiday. We will celebrate early, and keep in touch while we travel.

In the two years since making these plans, I was able to follow along with last years world cruise travelers, and enjoy their adventure, think a lot about what we were going to pack, we travel light, so this is a project, and of late watch part of the world we are suppose to travel to become dangerous. We will be kept safe, but wonder how this will affect our plans. Prayers to all as this comes to some resolution.

Again, if you are going to continue reading, please understand my first objective is to be in the moment, and enjoy this trip and time with my husband, and the 928 other adventurous souls we are sharing this experience with.
