May 1, 2024 Last Sea Day 4 days left of 138

The last sea day, so the last Brunch. I think Viking is worried that we have not put on enough weight to make their point that we come on as passengers, and leave as cargo. So we are having a May Day Brunch

We are ending the cruise with a bit of a bug going around, so it is everyone wash your hands before you enter the dining room, and the staff serve us our plates, even at the buffet. They tell us the new precautions are working to stem the tide.

Brunch was delicious with lots of options, and always lots of yummy desserts. The art is all out of chocolate or some other edible delight. Everyone seemed to enjoy the special event.

Mike played Baggo, and blue team won the last game, but lost the total trip score. The vocalists had made each team a key ring with either a blue or red bag depending on the team. They were very cute.

Our trivia team was in a three way tie for first place at noon today. I am calling it a win, even if we missed the speed questions at the end. This is our 12th win in 4.5 months. Pretty good I would say.

We ended the evening with our Farewell party with our Captain and crew. We were given the following information about our specific cruise. We have traveled 35,362 Nautical Miles since Fr. Lauderdale, Florida, we used 1.7 million gallons from Los Angeles, California to London, England                             42,100 bottles of wine have been consumed, 3,500 Kg of steaks, 10,300 Kilos of potatoes. Yes we have been eating and drinking well on this trip. It was a wonderful celebration for the staff, and guests.
