How our Journey started

 Mike and I met following his diagnosis and first surgery for a Pituitary brain tumor. I was the nurse in the clinic and he was our patient for follow up care. He worked with my cousin, and during his divorce she told him I was single, recently remodeled my home, and could use some help. He came to the clinic and offered his carpenter skills. Anyone that knows about rules for medical staff, know this is not done.  I asked my boss for permission to see Mike outside of the clinic, and he made many trips to hang blinds on all my windows. He had to make multiple trips because I did not buy all the blinds at once. He was known by my friends as the "Blind Guy".  

I learned we were both raised Catholic, his Mom taught him to tap dance, I love to dance, and he was a really handy guy. Humm, he could be a dance partner... He asked me to a dance, I asked him to my work Christmas party and dance, We spent Christmas together, his divorce became final, and we became a couple. Both of us will tell you we won the lottery. 2023 is our 9th year together, and 8th year of marriage.

We are now both retired, and ready to travel the world.
