We meet our ship, the Viking Sky

Mike is not feeling better today, though he did have a good night. We made it down to breakfast with a view of the ocean. Not a bad way to start the day.

                                              Sunrise from our room

Mike went back to bed, and I am on a mission to get him his favorite cold medicine. I looked it up, and a CVS pharmacy was just a 10 min walk along the ocean. They had his favorite brand, and I got to walk closer to the ocean and get a picture or two.

Mike had a nap and new medication, and he is feeling much better. We are checking out of our room and what a commotion in the lobby. Princess Cruise has people checking out and many people are checking in, and all Viking is trying to check out. The lines were long, but the staff were moving us along.

The last two buses to arrive to bring us to our ship were delayed, so we had no lines when we got to the ship. There was a security check, Marilyn set the alarms off again, so a double check to make sure nothing illegal here. Our ship up close is big, but not as big as the Princess which is just up from us.

The ship is beautiful. We went first to our station to see where we gather in case of problems, watched the safety video and prepare to hear the alarm sounded. We have toured the ship, but it will take a little time to get it all figured out. We have found food, and drink, so we are good. Our room is set up, so we will talk about that tomorrow. Betty Renwick would not like the rocking. We have a slow roll going. We both are wearing our seabands, so far so good.

Mike and I are thrilled to be on our way. Thanks to everyone who has made this day possible. This is what the next 17 days travel looks like.
