December 31, 2023 New Year's Eve Sea Day 4
New Year's Eve, and the staff has plans. Rumor has it that they will serve Lobster tonight at dinner. Everyone is excited.
We walked 2 miles today. I used my cooling cloth, and it helped, but the last 1/2 mile I was dragging. I did a cool down lap, as I don't want to have heat stroke. We walked today before we ate, which meant we were walking earlier, which helped.
We played Trivia with one group at noon. We did good tying for second place. The winning team got a perfect score. Hard to beat that. Noon trivia is suppose to be easier questions, but that only works if you know the answers to the questions. LOL
We had a nap in preparation for tonight's festivities. We dressed for the night as we have an appointment with the travel consultant. They offer great discounts if you schedule your next trip while on board. She is very busy, with appointments every half hour. We have met several couples who have already scheduled one or two trips. These are serious travelers.
At dinner they were handing out our new head gear, and noise makers. Let the festivities begin. They did have lobster on the menu, but they also had Prime Rib, so we opted for that. Mike has been doing great, with no sign of any cross contamination from shell fish. That means I have been spared chasing him to administer an Epi pen.
We tried our hand at trivia in the evening. It was based on everything that had taken place on December 31st. We had to come up with the year. We were together with our previous winning team. We did not fare as well with tonight's game. It all is in good fun.
