April 9, 2025 Cape Town, South Africa, 26 days left of 138

Well today might as well be a sea day. We have to empty the ship and everyone do a face to face immigration departure inspection. This included the crew, so it was more than 1,000 people to check out. Once we do this we are not allowed to leave the ship. The ship did not leave port until after noon and our immigration inspection was done before 10:30.

I wanted to show the South Africa flag. It was on the ship next to us in the port.

The top picture is our view this morning from the top deck of the ship. Yesterday it was so cloudy and rainy that we could not see they had a Ferris Wheel on the waterfront.

The second picture was a better picture of the Lion's Head.

Today we increased our Sequence game to 6 of us. Today was a training day for Greg and Roseann. They caught on quickly, and we played 4 games with Mike and Greg taking two of them. So we all got to win at least one. They are hooked, so we will be playing more often.

We were on our phones just before going down to dinner and I saw on Facebook one of the guests reported whales on the Port side. It was posted 15 minutes before I saw it, but I ran to open the balcony door and look outside. Our neighbors were also outside looking, so they saw the spouts first. While watching we saw spouts, flippers, tails, and lots of splashes from all the whales, and there were many of them. It ended up the whales were on both sides of the ship, and one guest got shots of them breaching. It was an amazing site.
During dinner I could see the colors of the sunset from my seat. I got up to grab this picture. Good night
