March 19, 2024 Sea day 47 days left of 138

Everyone talks about sea days in many ways. When you are home you think you want excursion days in port every day. Speaking from experience, you need sea days to take care of business, rest, take a breath, and prepare for the next port. There are many opportunities on the ship to fill your day, and it is up to you how scheduled or unscheduled you want to be.

We added Farkel with friends to our sea day routine. Susan won the first game when we were teaching her, but it is evening out. Mike and I had a fun ending to a game, and rather than stopping at 10,000 we kept up the rolling with steals until one of us lost and this was the total for that game 41,500 Marilyn to 35,100 Mike. In reality I lost when Mike came from behind and topped my score. It was a fun and amazing once in a lifetime game. If Dale our friend who left the ship is reading this, note the colored light box. Tonight I saw one that was changing colors, and I knew you were thinking of us. LOL

Tonight our Captain introduced the new management crew that recently came on the ship.
The biggest surprise, or worse surprise as the rumors were flying was we have a new cruise director. She is replacing Bruce who took sick and left the ship in Singapore, and has been hospitalized in Singapore since. He will not be returning to us, but will be released from the hospital later this week. We wish him well, and he has been missed. This was not the end to our amazing day. The entertainment tonight was Tomas Ward. Look him up and watch him on Utube, you will be mesmerized. He was introduced as a classical guitarist who was an innovator of making music. You would swear that his guitar could sing, or at least was more than just a guitar. Fun evening.
