January 3, 2024 Cabo Mexico

Yeah, we made it to Cabo, and the day is perfect 70's with blue sky and sunshine. We are headed to San Jose del Cabo. Mike visited here about 30 years ago with Janet, his sister and Don. We saw where they stayed on our drive. He is surprised with the amount of new construction in the last 30 years. Cabo is a pleasant surprise, it is clean, no signs of homelessness, their only industry is tourism.

Our view from the ship.

Our tender that took us to the pier. The staff is very attentive, helping us to get in and seated. The tender would hold 80 or more people comfortably. The trip took maybe 10 minutes. We are grouped together, and we are off to the buses.
This is not the original mission church, but many of the items in it are from the original 1700's. The original church was damaged in a hurricane, they were able to save the bell, doors, and many of the decorations around the alter. The church below is a simple church, still decorated for Christmas.

We had an hour to walk around the town and shop. The area is a pedestrian mall, which allowed us to spread out. We had the old City Hall with a clock to use as our gathering point. Good thing Mike was there to keep me going in the right direction.

I took pictures on the way back from our visit to show the area. The cactus is over 150 years old as they only grow 1 cm a year. Our trip had amazing views of the Ocean, so I tried to catch them.

We were able to catch some sunset pictures from our ship.

Trivia tonight we were one right answer away from the winning teams. There is always tomorrow. We have 836 nautical miles to our next port in Los Angeles.

This is our ship, the bottom picture shows one of the tenders leaving.
