February 18, 2024 Mooloolaba, Australia Day 59 of 138

Today looks to be a perfect day. We wake up to blue skies and sunshine, and temperatures predicted of high 80's. The boat is rocking a bit and today is suppose to be a tender day. That means we anchor out in the harbor and our tender boats take us to the dock. Mike saw the tenders go out before we went to breakfast.

The captain comes on the overhead speaker, which is never a good thing off normal hours. He informs us that the swells, and waves are too much for us to get the tenders to the dock and us off safely. He continues to tell us that the prediction is for this to worsen during the day, making us unable to make our excursions today. This is particularly sad as today we were suppose to go to the Irwin's Australia Zoo and see Koalas. I have been saving myself for this zoo because of the Irwin's and their late father Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter". Crikey! We are very disappointed.

At breakfast I decided to capture pictures of Mooloolaba, another place we will not have seen.

Our tender was bobbing in the Ocean for quite some time trying to get back to the ship. Mike took the last two pictures, and says to go from the last picture to the one just before usually takes minutes, but today took over an hour.  You can't see it, but the staff were wearing their helmets. This is the first time we have seen the staff needing them to be used.

So just your basic Sea day. Sequence, we tied, trivia not to bad, and of course 3 squares and a bunk.
