January 10, 2024 Sea day and Day 22

Good Morning, it is another sea day, and I have been waiting for this day as I have a pedicure scheduled first thing.

It was great, I checked in, and since I was first appointment of the day, we got right to it. Mercy who was doing my pedicure is from Zimbabwe. This is her first Viking assignment, but her 4th cruise. She plans on doing several more, then going home and opening her own business.

Sorry I don't have the prettiest feet, but they are my feet, and they look much better with a pedicure. It was nice to be able to talk with Mercy as she worked. It was very relaxing, and I can't wait until I get to do it again. I have several friends visiting the salon today for varies reasons, 2 getting Manicures, a hair cut, and one was getting his hair dyed. It is full service.

Mike hit the track and walked his two miles, then found a space in the gym to get his arm exercises and sit ups done.

Some one commented about showing the Viking Daily, which is in our room every night, and lets us know what is going on. Here is todays Viking daily.

Cruise Critics is a site you can go to and put your cruise info into, this connects you to others who will be on your cruise. It has been informative, and with a cruise this long, great to see how others are preparing for their adventure. We had a meet and greet get together. We met up with one of the couples we are going to the Taj Mahal, Luxor, and Petra with. I made this connection through Cruise Critic.

We went again to the offered show tonight. The 4 Viking Sky singers are amazing. The sang MGM musical's songs. They sang for 45 minutes, and introduced themselves to the new travelers that we picked up in Los Angeles. So we have 4 singers, the 4 musicians who play in Sea Six, and 2 more that are a singles act. If you can read the Viking daily you will see they move around the ship playing in the afternoon and evenings for us.

Today I tried to keep track of my use of the stairs, so you could see how we are keeping fit. I walked 37 actual flights in a day, and that is if I didn't miss any. My fitbit registered 95. I give that info for my brother Don and his wife Lynda. They always give me a bad time on how my fitbit gives me stairs for just walking around. LOL
