February 26, 2024 Sea Day Day 68 of 138

Remember when I told you that the natives, us guests, have been restless? When I made that statement I told you Viking feeds us and serves us alcohol. Today proves that. It is our third brunch. This one I think is because we are close to the half way point. They tell us it is because we are soon to set foot on another continent. I took pictures to show you again we are not short of food, and beautiful food at that.

They had something for. Above is the Vegan selections, to the right is fresh fruit and cheese, below is the Shushi selection, if you look in the back raised area they had shrimp cocktail.

So What letter in the brunch cake do you think got eaten first? It was the U. I was surprised, I would have thought they would have started from the outside. You can't figure us out.

Do you see the clock at the top of the picture. It says it is Brunch time.

Below notice it says Coral Reef. If you can't see it they have sculpted Sea Horse, fish, reefs. It was amazing.

We got up and had coffee and a sweet treat of Almond Croissant, and a Praline option. Both were delicious. I meant to take a picture before starting to devour them, but sadly I was slow in getting the picture. I did share this with Mike, but I will confess I ate the majority of this. Lynda the Almond Croissant had the almond filling on top of the Croissant, and something thin in the middle. The Praline was Phyllo dough on the bottom with the Praline filling a thin amount, with the Phyllo dough on top. Yum!
This was a banner day for our Noon Trivia team. We were the only team to get all 15 questions correct. Mike came through for us on the one question regarding an Elvis Presley movie. The answer was Kissing Cousins which was the last answer we wrote down. Whew, we were just under wire. It was his first answer, but then he seconded guessed himself. When he couldn't come up with another answer, he told Susan I think my first answer was correct, she wrote it down, when we came to that question, none of the rest of us knew for sure what answer was agreed upon. Mike for the win. They give us Mimosas for winning.
Our group got together for dinner together tonight, and decided to forgo dessert at the restaurant and head to the Explorer Lounge bar for a round of Mudslides. Sorry I forgot again to take a picture of the drink, but just so you know they were picture perfect, and yummy.

Our entertainer tonight was Bruce our Cruise Director. He has quite the resume, at 16 he was asked to conduct the Detroit Symphony, he graduated from Juilliard School of Music in New York City. He has accompanied some pretty big names including Rosemary Clooney, Carol Channing, Petula Clark, Shirley Jones, and many more. He is an accomplished pianist, and provided us with beautiful music. His last song was "Until there was you" It has a lot of meaning for Mike and me.
